Women’s Skin Beauty Tips
Beautiful skin tips abound today, both in print and in online health and beauty websites, as personal health and beauty is becoming more important to women. You can spend as much money as you want on beauty products (which is fine, of course), but you don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune. Below are some of my most effective – and inexpensive – tips:
Your skin is your largest body organ, and accordingly deserves a fair amount of your attention. Some of that attention may need to be professional. Severe cases of acne should always be evaluated by a dermatologist and professionally treated.
Do you drink plenty of water every day? If so, you’re already following one of the best beautiful skin secrets known – proper hydration. Drinking up to 64 ounces of filtered water per day not only helps your skin maintain its proper elasticity, but it also aids in skin cell regeneration.
Battling itchy, dry skin this winter? Do your skin of favor and scrub away with a nice loofah sponge when you’re in that shower or bathtub. (Remember to allow your loofah to dry out completely between uses.) Follow that up with a nice layer of moisturizer and your skin will feel totally invigorated.
Not enough people realize that their skin needs to retain some of the natural oils it produces, and that bath or shower water that’s too hot can wash those useful oils away. Although a hot shower or bath can feel incredibly relaxing, try to lower the temperature a little. Your skin will thank you for that.
Did you know that tanning beds are one of the most dangerous things you can expose yourself to? Similar to being out in the sun, the beds’ UV-A and UV-B ultraviolet rays can cause significant harm to your skin’s ability to replace its cells; users frequently end up with dried out, leathery-looking skin. Skip the tanning beds and the rays outside, and lay on a sunscreen with at least a rating of 30 SPF before going outdoors.
“Less is more” when you’re applying foundation makeup; this is an incredibly important skin beauty tip. Unless you’re in your later years right now, you probably don’t need to apply a base foundation at all. Not only does it look unnatural, it also covers up your skin’s inherent beauty. If you do need to use a concealer for blemishes, pat it on gently – don’t rub it in.
Have you ever noticed someone’s beauty and realized they’re not wearing little to no makeup at all? This is their own beautiful skin secret – keeping the lip gloss, the mascara, a foundation or blemish concealer, and the rest all to a minimum – and letting their natural beauty show through. Your skin’s pores need to breathe, so don’t suffocate them with too much makeup.
A simple facial massage should also be in your bag of beautiful skin tips. Your blood’s circulation through your skin carries much-needed oxygen to it. This helps your skin retain its pliancy and moisture. Gently massage your forehead, around your eyes, and your cheeks with an oil-based facial cream. This increases the circulation of nutrients and oxygen in your skin.
And aside from all the physical beauty advice, simply having a positive mental outlook and projecting that to others may be your most important skin beauty secret. People initially judge us on our exteriors, but your inner beauty can only help to augment the physical beauty of your skin that you strive so hard to maintain. Let both clearly shine through!
