What Are Some Common Types Of Eczema?
To this day doctors do not know what exactly causes these types of eczema. Although one major factor may be due to a mal functioning immune system. Other major factors which are now being considered is the use of bathing products and woollen as well as synthetic clothing, excessive sweating has also being taken into account. Temperature and environmental allergens could also be causing outbreaks of eczema.
Atopic dermatitis or eczema is very commonly seen. Then there is the nummular eczema which presents with coin-shaped patches which is extremely irritating to the person and is commonly found on the lower legs, back, arms and buttocks. The area will either be crusted or flaking and is excessively itchy and is seen frequently in older men.
Usually there is a family history of atopic dermatitis as well as asthma and associated allergies which will ultimately increase the risks of developing nummular eczema and is seen as a chronic condition. And doctors have found nummular to be a very puzzling disease.
The causes of nummular eczema are unknown although there have been a number of factors which could be causing this condition like dry skin, low humidity, environmental and even some prescribed medications which are used for the treatment of acne could be the cause.
